BK-sama

So, the time of my 23rd life cycle has begun. It's going to be an important year I suspect, I'm wandering without navigation or ambition at the moment. I have no short, medium or even long term plans in the works. Not even many half plans which is unusual for me. Yet that is a potential problem for later.

The Birthday... In short it was most comfortably the best one I've had since my 19th.

I woke up nice and early so I could meet Verity and Liz in town just after 11am so we could get a "breakfast scone". What I did not expect was how kickass the gift I got from them was. I mean I was excited but damn... It was shockingly cool. So yeah, we headed upstairs, got the scone, jam and tea and then I was given a baby blue card bag with 'Birthday BK' written on it. Inside however was a box of cupcakes and.... AN AKATSUKI CLOAK!!! So yeah I was a VERY happy bunny and immediately put it on (infact I;'ve hardly taken it off since then). We then took pictures of us wearing it in Dingles which look very geeky, but quite cool.
After that I backtracked home to watch a little Allo Allo and tidy the flat, which quite frankly, severely needed it as it look like a bomb had hit it.
So yeah after that was done I did a quick set of phone calls to determine peoples locations and sitch before going on the beer run. That done i then headed to Gog And Magog Weatherspoons on the Barbican in order to get there nice and early at 4:30pm. I only really invited my really close mates to the meal so it was very cosy. The only exception was I didn't ask James along as I was still unsure of how the V and James in the same room situation would pan out (though to give them their dues they were both excellent all night). I also didn't ask Ed largely because I knew he couldn't afford it. Anyway... After abit of waiting I was eventually joined by V, Liz, Rhi, 'Ule, Joe and his lass Vikki and as such went inside to order, just in time for me to get the 'Fish and Chips + Cup of Tea deal' for only £2.99. Bargain. Was quite a good meal with some fine conversation. Joe tried Tea Bagging my tea but ended up failing and getting his pint of Ale Tea Bagged by Danule. Hilarity.  I also think Joe owes me a big favour because I talked him up in front of his lass with completely true stories about Joe saving lives and defeating robots with ease.(1)

After the meal we all headed back to mine for drinks in the front room after making a stop so Joe, Rhi and 'Ule could buy their drinks. Anyway we got in and started drinking which was pretty god damn shibby. We were then joined by James who brought me 4 of the 5 Fallout 3 expansions as a Birthday gift. I then made a brief excursion to pick up V, Liz and Dorian at one point but then got back to drinking. Played Quintin and various other games and generally had a good time. There was only once minor slip when Joe and 'Ule started throwing drink around which resulted in drink being spilled on my new Doctor Who poster. After a while Nathan joined us and we listened to music. Then it got to around 11pm when we ran out of Toilet paper and, given the broken cistern in my lavatory this mean the night fractured for a while.
Not long after V, Liz and Dorian left temporally in order to use the loo at Dorians. Then Rhi, 'Ule, Nathan, Joe and Vikki called it a night while me and James waited for Ed's arrival. That done, we then had a quick pint before setting off for Bac Bar where I got my free birthday drink in the form of a strange bright blue thing with at least three different types of spirit in it. We also remet up with V, Dorian and Liz and then went outside and spent a large slice of time singing various songs, including quite a number of numbers from the Disney films 'The Lion King' and 'Aladdin'. Me and James also sang quite abit of 'Alestorm - Captain Morgans Revenge' or more specifically... the chorus *laughs*
Anyway after James and Ed left around 3am we then headed up to Goodbodies were I had a Late Night Scottish Breakfast before calling it a night. Was a really awesome day all in all, didn't brood or introspect once all day which I don't think I've done in nearly 5-6 years. It really was a great effort by all involved *smile*

The next day however was not so great. I woke up at 9:30-10am with a really bad stomach ache and imbalance. Short story.... I legged it to the loo, vomitted then collapsed back into sleep. No hangover though, I never get hangovers *smirk*
All I've really done in the last 3 days or so is hang around the flat in my Akatsuki cloak (*gush*) and eat chips. I have however completed my first play through of Eternal Sonata and have started my second (I'll review it next entry prehaps but my times limited today). What I will say about it now is that its a very unconvential game for a RPG but did a good time of soaking hours. Otherwise I've just watched TV in the form of 'Allo Allo', 'Two And A Half Men', The film 'Serenity' and the classic Doctor Who episode 'Terror Of The Zygons'

In short, to summerize. I couldn't be much more content than I am at the moment despite the darkening clouds on the horizon. Was a good Birthday bash, I got some nice things and made to feel even more important than usual. In short, I am a very happy BK for the moment. Lets hope it last just afew more days before I have to cope with the world again.

(1) Ok... That may not be the entire truth.... but she didn't know that and given how smooth an operator I am, I'm sure she believed me unconditionally. *nods*
